From Addict to UW graduate, Ginny Burton is at the top and still climbing.

Ginny Burton

After the world shared my transformation photos, I knew it was time to get started on the things I have been putting on hold. Things such as finishing my book, creating content on social media, and working harder to change the narratives that run rampant in our world today. Narratives that limit individuals convincing them and others that there are many things that are not possible.

I like to think of myself as a change agent. Someone that does not take “you can't do that” as an answer or a final comment. And someone that will show you how to do things a little differently.

There is a statement I repeat regularly to myself and others, “Yes You Can”.

In a world where we limit ourselves, I am changing the message. I am not the sum of my decisions and neither are you.

I have a colorful life experience, to say the least. I have experienced serious addiction, been to prison, and have lived in environments I would not wish on my worst enemy.

I have also recreated my life. I’ve graduated from the University of Washington, I’ve won some pretty amazing scholarships, and convinced many people around the world that no task is too big; we are as powerful as we choose to be. I have stopped destroying my life with drugs and alcohol; I’ve stopped victimizing others to meet my needs, and repeating cycles that destroy my life.

If I can change, anyone can. I have solutions, ideas, and a proven track record that my message is not only valid, but it works.
